Is there an adapter

  that can connect two PCs to a single keyboard, mouse and monitor?
  
  means cable from the two PCs just connect to this adapter or hub, then connect to a monitor, mouse and keyboard, so that whichever pc is switch on, i can use the same monitor, keyboard and mouse
  
  or is there a better arrangement using USB hub or some other hardwares?

  now pc graphics card got 2type od connector (DVI and AGP). your lcd also got 2 connectors (DVI and AGP). if u got 2 computers (i.e in a seaparate casings or 'CPU' (as what noobs call it), connect the one lcd with 2 cables (DVI and VGA) one each to the graphics card and use the buttons on the LCD to switch between input 1 or 2. That should work for a single LCD u want to work on. As for mouse and keyboard you can try using USB splitter cable on one set of input interface to 2 compuyerts. u may want to avod using PS2 connection.

  i am not sure about the AGP/DVI connectors, i believe my PC only have the AGP port, let me go check it out
  
  but i am quite intereste in the KVM Switch because its looks much simpler in setup
  
  may i know how much this would cost and where could 1 get it?

  KVM switches can be bought in hardware shops. Can't remember the prices though.

  you can spend some money on the KVM or look foor cheaper 2 port options or have this one free using software controls open source style

  for the LCD you can get an adaptor and work on the DVI end at the LCD connectors so that it accepts another AGP. now even if your other computer has no DVI u can still use an AGP connection.

  should be at least 50 bucks bah..depending on brand...and number of supported interfaces...I think I bought my Belkin one for around 80 bucks...
  
  most shops selling computer things should have it.
