  i cant seem to open the network icon from the taskbar.. even from the start menu there also i cant open the network.. i double click the icon den my com will hang.. but i still can surf the net.. can some pro help? tanx

  It's One Of Vista's "Little" Errors Here And There, irritating, but normally resolved after a restart or 2
  
  Another Alternative would be to:
  
  Start,
  Under Search Type: Network
  Then see the programme, Network and sharing centre, click.
  But From Experience, Most Probably, The Programme will not run at all, and you will hang.
  
  So a restart should do a trick.
  Dont worry, you are not the only one experiencing this, it's a fault with vista, not your computer. It should be fixed when sp1 comes. (hopefully)

  Server connection failed - Apparently, Windows can't open your network connections window, that's why it gave out this error.

  ooh.. i restarted my comp 4 times.. the prob still there.. had to do a system restore.. thanx guys for the swift replies and help.. u all very li hai leh

  Guess my initial ans was wrong, sry, but for the hanging or refusing to open part, it's part of vista's faults.
  Guessed I didn look at the error message, but instead, look on the "refusal to open programme" as the main fault.

  Not wrong, it's a Vista fault, otherwise, there wouldn't be a KB article.
  
  Because the default values are too small, and in Vista which eats so much resources, by setting it so small, it's asking for trouble.

  My Bluetooth is gone again Sigh,
  And Btw, Mayi, if my other com or my friend's com has OEM manufacturer installed Home Basic, can i use it's product key to downgrade or upgrade my computer?

  You know drivers are a headache in Vista.

  Home Basic upgrade - yes
  
  After upgrade to Business or Ultimate, if you want to downgrade back to XP, also can.

  Crazy. I run Firefox 2 and 3 on Vista with no problems.
