for those who use comodov3.0 n ad-aware 2007 with definition b4 21st nov 2007..
ad-aware may have a false positive on C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Comodo\common\DB\DDB\DLL\339_d.sld
it detect the file as Win32.Backdoor.Agent

Log in to another account - cannot recognize, prompt to re-add, then give out error, interfaces exist.
Ignore the prompts and let it be... everything works fine. -
i'm using old norman personal firewall and i'm thinking if i use windows firewall would be better or Comodo Firewall.
btw if i wanna download the Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0 32 bit or 64 bit de? i'm using xp pro v2002. -

In XP, Windows Firewall only blocks incoming connections, not outgoing. In other words, you won't know what things are being sent out when you are connected to the Net. A properly configured firewall will prompt you about programs connecting to the Net.
In Vista, the firewall works both way, but by default, outgoing connections are not monitored. In effect, it's about the same as XP Firewall... you need to configure Windows Firewall in order for it to block certain programs connecting to the outside world or let it notify you that something is trying to connect.
Whether to download 32-bit or 64-bit will depend on your OS version. Most of us are using 32-bit OS.
If unsure, download the 64-bit and run it. If you get an error, means your OS is 32-bit. 32-bit programs can't run a 64-bit program, but a 64-bit program can run a 32-bit program (generally, some programs can be very idiotic). -
Is this any good? I never used a firewall after I stopped using dialup internet.
What do you guys give it out of 10? -

erm i made a mistake on disable 1 of the .exe program. Now i want to disable that option but dunno where to find leh. Went to Defense+ settings but cannot find the .exe name to undo the choice. Now windows say the the file is not a valid application liao.

For #4, maybe you forgot to click on the second Apply button (the first one for adding the entry), which I once did. I've tried blocking Microsoft's IP range (assuming /16), pinging microsoft.com before and after, and it even signed me off Live Messenger.

The file is not inside quarantine section. I disabled it through prompt option. Didn't really read what the firewall was asking and disabled it. Just power up my com and it asked me the question again. Heng i didn't tick the remember me option previously. Not really. Am using the latest stable version. I will be forced to switch to Sygate if the prompts don't lessen.
