  Issit a good time to gaming laptops or should a wait for the ones with 8800 GPU announced yesterday?
  
  If yes, can recommend a good one under 3k.

  Everyday is good time if you got the $$$$
  
  With the 8800 inside the laptop, i think the battery life will be less than 1 hour, so it's up to you
