Weird loading icon in Firefox. Help!

  I have no idea why there is this red dot icon when pictures are loading, when I use FF today. It dosen't happen in IE. I have checked the file association there is none in FF. I checked under folder option JPG is opened with Picture fax viewer.
  
  How do I get rid of this irritating red dot when loading pictures?

  The images are not loaded properly. Can you try refreshing the page?
  
  Also, try clearing Firefox temp files and cache.

  I restarted and now the loading picture will show a gray and white rectangle icon, is yours the same too?

  Just type anything in google image search and see while the page is loading what icon is displayed before the picture appears/loaded.

  Hmm...isn't it just an image placeholder? I mean, it disappears after the image is loaded completely, right?

  When the pics are loading quickly press stop button, you will see the image place holder icon. Keep clicking on the next page of google image until you are fast enough to press stop button before pics are loaded.

  Ok, I can confirm that they are simply image placeholders which are used to signify the presence of an image before it is loaded, similar to IE's Little Red Diagonal Cross.
