avi to dvd?

  is it possible to burn video files like abi, mpeg etc onto a dvd-r or -rw and then play it using a dvd player to watch on tv?

  If your DVD player is able to read data directly from the disc, you can just burn the video files as data. Otherwise, just use Nero to burn it as video. Just a note that you can only burn up to 120 minutes of video this way, so it will be more cost-efficient to use 80-minute CDs instead.

  if can watch the avi as it is is better.
  coverting it to dvd loses quality.
  tried on an 1 hr video and the quality lost was... huge.
  
  anyway, use nero if you want to burn avi to dvd.
