Getting a new antivirus

Hi everyone, my antivirus is expiring after 30 days and I would like to get a new one. There appear to be a lot of free ones out there that do a good job, can anyone help me with recommendations?
Basically, I am most likely to get Norton Internet Security if the free softwares do not serve an equivalent purpose.

Note for Comodo - It's a beta software. If you are uncomfortable with Beta softwares, don't use them. They can be unstable at times.
And use only ONE antivirus program. -

It may screw up if they scan each other's folder used to quarantine or backup suspicious files. Yeah, AVG has an antivirus and anti-spyware, can I use both?

You can make either one to be an on-demand scanner, the other for real-time.
Having 2 may conflict... I handled one case before, but luckily the conflict wasn't that bad. Just some random apps crashing. After removing one of them, it works smoothly. -

And tends to be confusing when it comes to alerts, especially if they detect something trying to make changes. -

For further protection download PC Tools Firewall Plus.Its free and can protect ur system quite well.

i install that Avast Home edition and wanna start the scanning. Before that it shows me the registration keys and say 59 days left. Isn't free? The days will count down de mah?

I wonder how good is symantec... cos sometimes, I feel that avg is better...
Cos I also got 2 installed. but cannot bear to let go of avg... but can always uninstall and download again... -

Then just re-register every year.
The keys auto expire in 1 year, prompt you to re-register.
