VLC ON MAC OS X

  OKAY. me is damn damn pissed now.
  
  i cannot install vlc on my macbook............
  i keep on installing n installing and it doesn't install nor appear ANYWHERE????
  HOW HOW?
  ANYONE GOT SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL.

  VLC for Mac OS X is distributed as a disk image. Download the .dmg file, open it, and copy it to your hard drive (for instance the /Applications folder). Open VLC by double-clicking on it.

  I assume there's no installation to be done.
  
  Save it to a place that you can find, double click to run it.
  
  Can the Mac people please confirm?

  1 open .dmg image
  2 drag the icon into Applications
  3 eject image
  4 delete .dmg image
  5 Apple+Space for "VLC"
  6 run VLC

  Apple+Space and "VLC" returns no results?
  
  If not try "Shift+Apple+A" at Finder to open Applications folder, then look for VLC inside to open.

  anyway, my VLC player is in a folder in the applications folder.

  Sounds like you downloaded the wrong file?
  
  You should have downloaded vlc-0.8.6c.dmg or vlc-0.8.6c-intel.dmg.
  
  vlc-plugin-0.8.6c-intel.dmgis just the browser plugin.
