need guide to buy RAM

i wanted to upgrade my laptop ram, another 1Gb
just want to ask for guide/ way to buy this RAM @simlim, what things i need to take note on?
oh ya, what's current market price for 1Gb laptop ram?

You know what type of RAM to buy? If not go check out www.crucial.com

If possible, just unplug the one attached to your computer and bring it to the shop to make sure. They should give the same type. From my experience, RAM of different type like the numbering tends to make your pc unstable, though it increases your memory.
Not sure about the price nowadays, it should be less than $100.

Just unscrew from the back. It's not that hard to take out, although if done wrongly, it's very easy to spoil it. Especially Compaq laptops.

i'm using dell XPS M1210, just checkd d system supports DDR2 memory with speeds of 533 and 667 Mhz.
mine currently 1GB; speed: 533.
now any buying tips? -
Buy first hand. If you want 2nd hand, check that the stickers are still on the RAM (so that you can cheat)
