IPOD help

  hi people,
  
  have just recently purchase a 30GB ipod video and wanna put some of the serial that i have downloaded into it. The files are in avi format and read from the net that i need some converter to convert to ipod compatible format.
  
  One of the movie is about 1hr 34 min. How long would it roughly take to convert this file? And also what can quicktime do this conversion?

  How long it takes to convert a file will depend on what is the processing speed of your computer.
  
  For a 24min video (anime) converting to divx (avi) on a Core 2 Duo 2Ghz will take roughly about 30-40mins.

  no loh.
  it depends on coding and the program also
  paid programs definitely loses less quality and converts much faster.

  wah kao eh....i tot its something like Zen which can just use in-built software to convert. Siao liaoz... waste money... Used Zen last time.. Quite fast leh.. but quality wise chui la
