You may be unable to install Windows Live products if you don't have administrator (The person who manages a computer and has permissions to make changes to the computer, including installing programs, accessing files, and managing user accounts.) rights, if your firewall (A security feature designed to help protect a computer from unauthorized external access. It can be hardware, software, or both.) won't allow the installation, or if your system doesn't meet the requirements for the product.
Try these solutions:
Check that you have enough hard disk space to install the Windows Live product
In Microsoft Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run.
–or–
In Windows Vista, click Start, and then click in the Start Search text box.
Type explorer.exe, and then press ENTER.
In the left pane, click My Computer, right-click the drive that you want to use for the installation, and then click Properties.
Make sure that you have at least 50 megabytes (MB) of free space on the drive.
Note
To see the system requirements for Windows Live installer, go to the Windows Live Betas website.
Make sure that the Windows Live installer website is not blocked by your firewall
If your computer has a firewall, make sure that the firewall is set to allow the Windows Live Betas - Home website. For more information about your firewall settings, see your firewall's documentation or website.
