Starhub broadband slow?

Yes, i'm fortunate enough to just sign Starhub for 1 yr.
going to switch back to Singnet next year.
At least my youtube and crunchyroll viewing is consistently loading while i'm watching.
Starhub loading is super slow/jerky. Sick of it already. -
Good and bad. SH blocked may be filtering some web connection, such as torrent, etc. SN will send you warning letter if you download copyrighted materials. Try disabling all firewall and antivirus and see your speed again.

For Singnet, if you use their proxy servers, it's very fast and stable.
For the proxy settings, see the Firefox sticky. -
Is Singnet really better now?
I used to use Singnet but is damn frustrated because I find it too slow. Then I changed to StarHub and it's a lot faster. But that was like 2 years ago.
Nowadays StarHub is getting slower and slower.

i used to used adsl by singnet and the thing abt them is I have experience my internet connection being cut halfway while surfing the net. Have to reconnect again. The boardband for singnet at time behaves like dial up modem and that is the reason why i chose starhub in the end.

Are you always using Singnet's proxy servers? Singnet, like all other ISPs, implements transparent proxing. Only during the dial-up days did you need to manually configure the proxy setting. -

i have both singnet and starhub internet at home.
i'm using singnet broadband while my brother is using starhub maxoline.
starhub is indeed very slow. when i watch youtube videos on it, it takes bloody load to load. most of the time will hang.

yea, my friend recently got singtel, and he dl anime like 750kbps while i was like 45kpbs, wtf! he told me, starhub has restricted ports/access or smth liddat.. im gg singtel after my contract ends for hub too.. hub just simply sucks, late payment of bill CUT CUT CUT, ccb!!

imo.... i think starhub still better.. not in the term of speed but in customer services..... way much better then singnet.... but for speed wise both also no different.... in the end internet is always shared...

starhub lags like siao at nite. my fren doing assignment den suddenly the connection lag den when he refresh is considered submitted den he cant do because dat assignment is only try once and GG!
