Starhub broadband slow?

  I have been using Starhub broadband for the past 2 years and didnt realise how slow they were until i switch to Singtel recently. On paper, Maxonline 6mps should be 6 times faster than singnet ADSL singnet @ 1mps, but in reality, the singnet ADSL is faster.
  
  For those still with starhub, you might want to consider to give singnet a try. they seem to be cheaper and faster.

  Starhub is cable, which means it will be super duper fast or worked as advertised when nobody is hogging the cables.
  
  Singnet, on the other hand, is using dedicated lines. That means no matter at what time, you will be guaranteed this speed. The only time you find it slow down is when you use P2P or you use download managers. These 2 suck up a lot of bandwidth if not configured properly.

  P2P, download manager, watching videos online, etc. You see if your network will slow down.
  
  Me on Singnet, if I try any of the 2 combinations, I will have my connections slow down to a crawl.

  i used to use starhub, sucked IMO. cause when theres heavy traffic...your internet will suck a lot.

  I used to use Singtel but give up due to their poor customer services.. I changed to Starhub and I does feel the different.. Thought of going back to Singtel after contract expires ... sigh . . .

  Singnet's claimed dedicated line also not exactly very dedicated la..it's only dedicated from your home to their main server..but from there to the internet, no more dedicated line liao..because internet, at the end of the day, is shared..
  
  And somemore if you live damn far away from Singnet's main office, also will be slow..
