slow computer performance

  windows has "detected my com. performance is slow" what can i do?
  
  CPU usage is 100% though i only have itunes and football manager running...?????????is it a virus?

  Vista?
  
  If yes, see the Vista sticky thread to turn off some unnecessary features of Vista.

  ctrl+alt+del and go under processes tab.
  see what hogging the CPU most
  see if its useful

  for vista with 2gb ram, it wil be comparable to xp with 512mb ram, just switch off those un necessary features, switch off those fancy looks and change to classic looks then, defrag often, and if u have an extra thumb drive use speed boost for more ram.

  To better improve Vista, get a mobo that supports 64-bit processors, get the 64-bit version of Vista and up the RAM all the way to 8GB.
