where to get good and cheap desktop?

anybody knows? im looking for a core 2 duo, 1gb ram and 160GB hard disk. just rough specs. anybody who had bought one recently can tell me the price and ur specs?

DIY got no warranty? i saw them building a transparent casing desktop. oh ya, im looking for the lcd too. cos normally if buy desktop will come with lcd and i need that too.

yah that price, comes with lcd... lcd hor... you buy the Chimei (yah I know horrible name) 19" one, I bought two (not for myself) and they are working fine even though they are from China. Branded - any problems, call and ask why or bring down your spoilt PC, wait a few working days for them to call you and collect back.
DIY - any problems, bring that faulty part to their service centre at some ulu ulu place for exchange or repairs.

i think u can get acer or dell... buy those that come with LCD lor.. more convenient..
if there is any prob, just bring down to service centre. Think for dell, if any part down within warranty period, they will send the part down.
i am using acer now.. so far.. touchwood.. 3 years, no prob.. electronic products sometimes is heng or sway one.. -
