  my fren says when he plug in it takes a damn long time to load it and it hangs windows explorer. happened to 2 other frens when they used my hdd too. what happen?

  If it's XP or Vista, the only thing that comes to my mind is that it has gone heaven. If it works on yours, then that HDD must be using special drivers.

  on vista coms it can work on xp coms it hangs and needs time to "unhang".
  
  cuz 2 of my frens vista lap and my com can use, but 3 of my friend's xp coms hang and needs time to unhang.

  Is that your main OS? If so, I guess it's the compatibility issue with XP. Vista and XP are two totally different machines.

  Vista can use another file system. Can't recall the name right now.
