butt was itchy so i go instal windows xp onto my preload vista laptop but was unable to choose the dual boot
etc:
older version of windows
vista
can anyone help???
i think got something to do with the boot.ini

format and reinstall Vista then follow instruction from here

i no cd T.T it's a preloaded Vista no recovery CDs
i think is something to do with the boot.ini

Excuse me, to dual boot, you install OLD OS before NEW OS.
That means you need to install XP FIRST before VISTA.
Now that you can't boot, try repairing Vista.
Since it's a pre-loaded version, check the manual on how to recover from within the partitions of your hard disk.
Don't know, search your PC manufacturer website and download their userguides. Follow it throughout.

Read my post? And also read your manual. Different pre-loaded PCs have different buttons to press. If unsure, post your PC Brand + Model.
Better yet, just wipe it out with another OS to start all over again.

nevermind anyway any idea if i can wipe out the xp??
then the computer will load back vista will this kind of stunt works?
