Help! My Anti Virus was "ON", why still prompt me?

  My Anti Virus was turned "ON", but how come Windows Security Center still prompt me saying my Virus protection was "OFF"?

  Anyway, if you notice... the shield was in red colour with a cross... that means that it was not updated or it is having problem...

  both have a red cross

  i think u must do a full system scan maybe...
  
  or u can just switch to AVG
