light gamers AMD x4000
highend gamers AMD x6000
anyway side track abit,if you cant use up all the processor no point buying good good processor P4 3.0 is good enough for everyday work
but hearty inch saw new dual core processor coming out cheap and itchness

Most of the games now is not optimised for Quad core therefore it makes the other two cores idling. BUT it wouldn't hurt to have more cores in your PC.
