Any one using Asus - GS2 (Gaming Notebook )?

I'm going to order this model, need to hear ur opinion if u own this.

Specs look good, but you should this money to get a PC with this spec. Seriously, it costs less.

One of the more important factor about gaming systems is the ease of
upgrading due to the req of games ever increasing. Gaming notebook cannot compare to pc when it comes to this. But the specs look good should so it should be okay for upcoming games. Audio confirm will need to use headphones.
The thing you may want to check out is the keyboard. It should have good tactile response, as once you purchased the keyboard cannot be replaced. I personally don't really like to use laptop keyboard. -

in my opinion gaming note book not cost effective. like mayi said, you can use this money to buy a pc at much lower price and same spec. PC can be easily upgraded for future games 3-5years down the road and you get better sound while the laptop only allows you to upgrade RAM and HDD.
That note book is very big and heavy. The only usage for its limited portability is when you wan to go over to your friends house to have a LAN party. If you're a uni student staying in a hostel den i think this laptop is suitable for you as you will be playing in ur hostel during weekdays, and home weekends.
One more point would be the battery life. With such processor and delicated graphics card, the laptop is gonna only last 1hr to 1hr 30mins. So basically, you can't play much with this laptop outside without a power point.
Its 4.4kg for the laptop with battery and will be 5-6kg when you bring your gaming mouse/mousepad, headphones and power adaptor(its gonna be a big size one to support the laptop power consumption) if you're a full fledged gamer. Its like a primary school kid school bag. -

I knew laptop is not for gaming, but this time I'm going to buy it for my brother as a Birthday present who doing graphic and need to travel around all the time. -

Roughly a $1.5k, you can already build a Core 2 Quad 8800GTS CPU, excluding monitor. The G2 cost $3k odd. Hmm consider first yah.

seriously imo don't ever buy a gaming notebook... is not gonna work for hardcore gamers... PC are the best for gaming not notebook. if you seriously want to get a gaming system.. i recommand you get that $3k to build a high end PC instead.

if not get a mac book will be sufficient. The graphics card in it is more than enough for a graphics designer and its lightweight, suitable for travelling.

if you r buying it for your brother for his graphics work, then Mac wud be a better choice. if u want it to be a all rounder wif gaming experience in mind, alienware wud be a better choice.. area51-m9750..
the design alone is enuff to make heads turn..the specs wud probably leave most laptop gamers 'headless'..

PC is out of date and obsolete. Size big and space consuming. I prefer Laptops. Laptops are cool.
