Vista Business - 2GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz still running a tad slower than my Intel Pentium M 1.6GHz 512MB machine.Originally posted by BadzMaro:=S ... is the juice worth the squeeze....

New features include:
Network Access Protection compatibility. Announced years ago, this feature allows Windows XP machines to interact with the NAP feature in Windows Server 2008. This functionality is built into the RTM version of Windows Vista as well.
Product Key-less install option. As with Windows Vista, new XP with SP3 installs can proceed without entering a product key during Setup.
Kernel Mode Cryptographics Module. A new kernel module that "encapsulates several different cryptographic algorithms," according to Microsoft.
"Black hole" router detection algorithm. XP gains the ability to ignore network routers that incorrectly report their network path information. This, too, is a feature of Windows Vista.
And that's about it. Nothing dramatic, as promised.
my business only have 1gb of ramOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Vista Business - 2GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz still running a tad slower than my Intel Pentium M 1.6GHz 512MB machine.
Heck, my P2 faster is faster than the Vista.
So not worth it unless you really tweak it.

XP with 1GB of RAM definitely will pwn Vista fully.Originally posted by kenn3th:my business only have 1gb of ram
compared with xp of 1gb ram, the xp would surely own
Don't know leh, mine like never eat resources.Originally posted by hisoka:features from vista might nto be good. might end up eating so much resources like vista or jsut hang stuff
the performance diff can clearly show that xp although >5 years old, puts up a strong fightOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:XP with 1GB of RAM definitely will pwn Vista fully.

Don't forget the damn EULA. Once upgraded, there goes all your licenses. Unless you upgraded to Business or Ultimate.Originally posted by kawasaki2:Upgrade and install...just remember to defragment your hard drive as well.
The Aero thing is cool ah... dun u think? he he. I have never seen the Kubuntu and Pardus i dunno whats it like lo. But Linux i dunno how to use and softwares i dunno how to use also ah.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:LOL!
Upgrade for the Aero thing, you might as well use Linux, those using the KDE interface, like Kubuntu and Pardus. I very much like Pardus. Easy to use and nice interface. Best of all, wireless works! It's nicer and better than Aero, and less laggy and don't require a higher specs than Vista.
It worked on my P2, just needed some extra RAM so it doesn't lag so much.
then i rather recc vista home premium more than enough, with media centre.Originally posted by BadzMaro:My com is Core 2 duo 2 gig ddr2 8800gts. Should be able to run eh.. but i dunno whether to upgrade or not. Only thing i like is the Aero thing.. lol!
Then I guess cannot use Linux liao. If not, their effects are much more wonderful than Aero.Originally posted by BadzMaro:The Aero thing is cool ah... dun u think? he he.
