I got my Vio at Comex and it comes with Vista.. I am so handicap with it.. already not so savy now worst .. sigh ... Vista is not for me ... anyway, anyone know why my vista cannot play MP4. my old laptop XP can play leh ...

Haven't got VB installed yet. I figured that I might have to use the 2008 version if I want to get things working. ActiveX settings wise, the registry part still remains the same. Windows Registry doesn't really change a lot.
I guess it's the way Vista is handling it. ActiveX has the ability to install programs, with the implementation of UAC in Vista, some couldn't run properly.
I've yet to figure out this yet. Some online scans may reveal something. -

One other thing, I noticed that cookies aren't saved in IE7. I usually navigate around by changing the forum ID without getting logged out, but in IE7 for Vista, it logs me out. Sickening. Now I have to click here and there to prevent getting logged out.

Cannot work in Vista home Basic..
Not sure why either.
Also, some .net 1.x framework objects also failed.....
Just when I started to learn .net 2.0, 3.0 frame work is out...

.NET Framework 1.1 is for XP.
.NET Framework 2.0 might work on Vista.
.NET Framework 3.0 is for Vista, will work XP as well.
And winsck.ocx is for VB5. -

me oso using vista (home basic) but cookies are saved for IE7 leh
and for UAC it can be turned off, stupid control everything also must ask ask ask
