Vista users lip lai

I need a crash course! I think.
Just got Vista Business installed on my machine. I seriously think this is a bad move. Feel like I've stepped into some countries I've never visited before, don't know rules and laws, etc.
I stared at it for some time liao. I don't want any background, but the option doesn't seem to be anywhere... and the Indexing service like can't be disabled.
A thousand and one things I want to but can't do, or can't find.
Sigh... at least it's stable... -

no offense but i think u will get better and more precious response in hwz as i see before many ppl there quite skilled in these kind of things..here sgf most pro is u liao..den u need help i dont think got ppl skilled enough

Aha, find out why no Indexing service. It's not installed.
Windows Search has replaced it. I disabled it.
I go explore some more. -

had a crashed or bugged not long ago,luckily was able to boot to backup
anyway the bug was about the activation thingy,i click activate it keeps saying

In XP, just select None.
In Vista, I've figured that it says use solid colours.

1. switch users.. (switch to admin to do admin stuff w/o logging out of restricted user
2. when you copy large numbers of files, it will copy to the end first then come to the problems... like files with same names or some other problems (system files)... unlike the earlier windows versions that stops halfway
3. the search is very extensive... but that can be very frus because give you so many results.. and a tip... you cannot choose search options until after it finishes searching (when you search from the search bar on top). So search some nonsense and when it says, no result, then choose your search options.
4. Click start and then "Computer" or Network" to get to windows explorer.
5. In windows explorer, always click on DESKTOP folder first (at the left) to get to the other folders... -

Number 1 is quite troublesome at times, but well... nice feature. But I wish it could be implemented in a better way.
Admin means admin, I see no reason why to downgrade an admin to a normal user... -
at home ok lah... but at the office.... you need the switch to admin yo do admin work so the user need not log out (save work, reopen programs....waste time)
all in all, after using VISTA fro a while, die die I will not go back to earlier versions.... -
dunch like vista. i hv problems installing oracle, and my visio studio cannot run properly

BTW do you know if it is possible to keep the cache of the vid you download from u-tube instead of having to download the whole vid after you close the window and reopen?
