How to do remote access?

  Some ppl can do remote access to his desktop PC at home when he is using his laptop outside.
  
  Do u think without additional software can do?

  Without additional software needed to do it, why so many people want to come up with software to do it in the first place? Like that I use my nokia also can access any mother son computer already lor.

  It is even possible to hack someone laptop or worse ur webcam... by remote access?

  I know there're some additional software can do, but I just wonder one of my fren told me he can do that without additional software, I'm just curious.

  XP Pro - Remote Desktop Connection
  
  If don't have, use VNC. For free ones, search Sourceforge. Non free ones, look at Symantec PCAnywhere.
  
  Or Logmein - not open-sourced.

  Interesting, I'm using XP Pro, may I know where can I find the setting?

  Don't forget the "server" computer must be available through the net (or leased line).
  
  That is to say, it must have a fixed address (IP) before you can use Remote access to connect.
  
  PC anywhere uses dial-up modems connections... you dial in to the "server" modem according to the phone number connected to the server modem.
