Keep Losing My Internet Connection

Grrrr...Dunno what to do, downloading Call Of Duty 4 Demo when the damned thing occurred again... Thought Flashget can resume but NO...
Ok now anyone has got any solutions? This problem keeps bugging me, damned PC, reformat also liddat... @*%$^#!!!!

did u try to troubleshoot your internet connection?

Are you using pacific net, and try not to use a splitter.......
maybe you should call up your isp and ask them about it bah
if your signal is weak, it is best not to use a router and direct connect to the modem -

Starhub 6Mbps plan. Using Wired connection to D-Link router and Motorola Surfboard Modem... Used splitter at the TV connection. -

just direct connect to your router, take out the splitter, and plug directly to the cable point, and you see whether it works or not, you have a cable box ah?
imagine your router have one firewall, and you have one more firewall in your computer, and try and ipconfig, and see whether you can see your ip address or not -
Bo pian mine is those old wire one, sharing with TV...
