Got a Hitachi 500 GB HDD with 16 MB cache from Skylet's booth (was looking for the 32 MB one but they didn't have it) for $156. The girl assistant whom I inquired information about HDDs from seemed quite knowledgeable. She's short and quite cute-looking too, which somehow reminded me of Anty.
Then I got two sticks of Kingston DDR2-800 1GB RAM for $34 each from Best Bargain. Can you imagine it was like $100+ just 2 years ago? I think I will laugh at myself for getting them should they become $10 each or something next year.
After that I just did some shopping at S&K and The Wallet Shop in Suntec City and Marina Square before getting home and here I am posting this before having my birthday cake.

i eat snake a while to buy a 4gb toshiba thumbdrive at only 27.90, dunno if there are any stocks left

Giga, it's now people not willing to try local brands, but if you compare the specs, local brands is a little behind well-known ones.
Quite frankly, after looking at the brochures, some people might be turned off by the specs. Most offer at least a Core 2 Duo 2GHz processor... Axxio doesn't offer?
But I guess for the lack of good specs, other things make up for it.
For one, most laptops have no fingerprint reader, Axxio laptops have one. While most are offering 1.3 megapixels webcam, Axxio are offering 2.0 megapixels.
One of the bundles also offer external HDD (Maxtor...) , although I don't like it... but make up for others ba...

lol this 2 days i read bout the external hdd stuffs i learnt quite alot
I asked a girl at the WD booth bout the diff between Desktop and Portable category and she told me Desktop = 3.5" and Portable = 2.5" (which i assume myself earlier) so i thought all Portable = 2.5" hence i never even take a look at the Portable stuffs But the Passport Portable in metallic red color is really nice tho.I went yday aft and bought the WD Elements Desktop, 500GB $150.. good buy huh.... not from the WD booths i think their price for this is much higher (i think)
now trying to set up and use

How much are they selling the MX5021? I bought mine last year for only 199 plus free headset worth 49.

LOL... at least Axxio specs are better than True Note. That one is a real turn off. And quite expensive in my opinion.
Tomorrow last day go and chiong... don't need to bluff... tell the good points of Axxio... like I've explained...
I know the Zetta series got Maxtor HDD... tell them that. So they no need spend money and buy an external HDD...

LOL. cause i know SLS still sells at 249 on regular days. Ban Leong sells cheaper during shows, but yeah anyway speaker prices doesn't drop much anyway.
