Indirectly, you're paying for your 'free gift'. Nothing is free, except for certain special occasions. You have to really check. -

Can watch new shows that are currently streamed by Mediacorp. Got a lot of shows I want to watch but cannot... because only available on HDTV....

I've checked the website and the 'free' Lenovo laptop (yux) comes at 30 months contract for 10mbps at SGD83 monthly. [SGD2490]
The generic 10mbps is at SGD68 monthly for 24 months. [SGD1632]
So you are more or less paying about SGD858 for the notebook. It could be worth it, but not to me given that it is a really old model. -

So many people was rushing to get their hands on it... Each person was only allowed to buy 4 pcs... The Q was so long... I think those at the end of the Q were probably disappointed as it was sold out within mins.
Came back and tried it out and found it very useful...
