Not much difference between them.Originally posted by RvnRooRon84:Thanks for the answer Mayi!
If I may ask another question, is there any differences between having a Static IP and a changing IP (if that's what you call it)?
Is one more stable then other in terms of connection (how often disconnections occur)?
u can go toOriginally posted by stellazio:should teach them how to open ports and get faster speed. oh connecting to a vpn would be fine too.

depends on the torrent, has how many seeders and peersOriginally posted by wonderamazement:Hey peepos... I'm using BitComet 0.94 and i opened 100ports, is that sufficient enough or do i still nid to port foward my router?
Grrr... Port-fowarding doesn't have much use la... CB, now my DL speed worse...Originally posted by Meow_Meow_Meow:depends on the torrent, has how many seeders and peers
If in huge amounts, yes.Originally posted by N P N T lah:thx useful guide , anyway is singapore catching people downloading illegial stuffs?
allen u using utorrent? how do u set the net.max_halfopen command?Originally posted by allentyb:even you port forward and your tcp port is 10, which is the default setting, your download speed will still be sucky
and i think you probably forgotten to set the net.max_halfopen to the amount of port, you just open in your utorrent
you have to change the number of port in your advanced option.... set the value
open more port
now my usual download speed is average 90KB/s for a good seeding torrent

But seem like a lot still does not understand, I will try to explain it more simple for bitcomet.
basically it is asking your broadband modem/router - the firewall inside to ignore the listening port that was used by the bit comet. That mean you have to copy the listen port number from bit comet and go to your modem/router setup to ask the firewall to ignore that port.
Do the below.
-Do not be selfish - open up your download and upload .... do not put restriction ....
- next is to go to bitcomet refer to 2) - look for your own listening port number . Copy down that port number . Then follow 3) instruction to go to your broadband modem/ router - there you are going to tell the firewall session to ignore that listening port that is used by bit comet by asking it to ignore range xxxx to xxxxx (xxxxxx is the listening port you copy from bitcomet just now ).
If you done it correctly ... your should instantly notice a significant to huge change in your kb/s rate.
