A static IP address makes it easier to connect to another PC on a home network, rather than trying to find it on your network.
In terms of connections, a dynamic IP address fares as well as a static IP address. -
hmmm anyone using Siemens Speedstream 4100 modem? in my own ip address, i can't see the setup link or port forwarding link to forward my port. there are only login, status n stats, diagnostics and reboot. anyone can help?
also, when i change de net.max_halfopen value from 8 to 100 in uTorrent as suggested by allen, de 100 value appears as *100. so does it still work this way? -

upload speed should be capped at 80% of the upload speed the ISP provides u with. For eg my singnet 6mbps..max upload speed they provide me is 512kilobits per sec, translates to 64kilobytes per sec. 80% of 64kilobytes per sec is around 51-52kilobytes per sec. So set yr max upload rate at that.

you have to change the number of port in your advanced option.... set the value
open more port
now my usual download speed is average 90KB/s for a good seeding torrent

Don't ever download MS update KB941644 and KB943485, your torrent tracker will become proxy connect error. Your speed will suffer.

But seem like a lot still does not understand, I will try to explain it more simple for bitcomet.
basically it is asking your broadband modem/router - the firewall inside to ignore the listening port that was used by the bit comet. That mean you have to copy the listen port number from bit comet and go to your modem/router setup to ask the firewall to ignore that port.Do the below.
-Do not be selfish - open up your download and upload .... do not put restriction ....
- next is to go to bitcomet refer to 2) - look for your own listening port number . Copy down that port number . Then follow 3) instruction to go to your broadband modem/ router - there you are going to tell the firewall session to ignore that listening port that is used by bit comet by asking it to ignore range xxxx to xxxxx (xxxxxx is the listening port you copy from bitcomet just now ).If you done it correctly ... your should instantly notice a significant to huge change in your kb/s rate.
