Super big antenna no use. Super long antenna then got use. Or better still, get a satellite dish.Originally posted by technoboy:Maybe can if you got super big antenna to recieve the wireless from your nearest shopping mall.
I'm not involved in wireless@sg deployment but I think the equipment is good. Easy to configure and good support. Colubris MAP-3200 controller makes a good hotspot-in-a-box.Originally posted by Shotgun:Eh, Mayi you did the wireless@sg Singtel deployment as well? I was on it for a period also.
What do you think of the outdoor Mesh APs?
Who is deploying Cisco? The ones I've seen are Colubris. I think at least Qala and iCell are using Colubris though I think iCell used to use Antlabs.Originally posted by Shotgun:You're kidding me right? Maybe I'm not updated. But those outdoor Cisco Mesh APs were worth their weight in trash. Some of them had a coverage area of..... 5 square meters?
The whole AP had to be tilted to some odd angles in order to improve the coverage area. Those antennae coverage diagrams couldn't be trusted!
Maybe only Singtel can afford to use Cisco. :pOriginally posted by Shotgun:Yup yup!
Singtel uses Cisco. Almost everything is Cisco! They must really love each other.
Singnet uses Cisco.Originally posted by Phaze:Who is deploying Cisco? The ones I've seen are Colubris. I think at least Qala and iCell are using Colubris though I think iCell used to use Antlabs.
