The Google Culture
Though Google has grown a lot since it opened in 1998, we still maintain a small company feel. At lunchtime, almost everyone eats in the office café, sitting at whatever table has an opening and enjoying conversations with Googlers from different teams. Our commitment to innovation depends on everyone being comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. Every employee is a hands-on contributor, and everyone wears several hats. Because we believe that each Googler is an equally important part of our success, no one hesitates to pose questions directly to Larry or Sergey in our weekly all-hands ("TGIF") meetings – or spike a volleyball across the net at a corporate officer.
We are aggressively inclusive in our hiring, and we favor ability over experience. We have offices around the world and dozens of languages are spoken by Google staffers, from Turkish to Telugu. The result is a team that reflects the global audience Google serves. When not at work, Googlers pursue interests from cross-country cycling to wine tasting, from flying to frisbee.
Our corporate headquarters, fondly nicknamed the Googleplex, is located in Mountain View, California. Today it's one of our many offices around the globe. While our offices are not identical, they tend to share some essential elements. Here are a few things you might see in a Google workspace:

our garmen care for for PRC people than our own locals. Recently the raid near my place, police caught many PRC, viet, thai, philipino and indonesia gals, but the next day, PRC gals were set free...
Angel is drunk and spouting nonsense again

Go Daddy, the largest Web domain name registrar in the world, is no longer registering names in China because of "chilling" new requirements imposed by the Chinese authorities, executive vice president Christine Jones said
hi angel, of coz without google china will not die, they have baidu which is more than happy to take over google market share.
the pt ppl here is trying to say is we salute google for not bowing into unreasonable demand from china govt. it would have been more easy for google to say yes to china than not. they believe in internet freedom and i salute them for defending internet freedom more than the financial gains.
whenever i travel to china and vietnam, i wonder why they block facebook. if they are clean, they can always come out to defend their own policy against rumours and accusation aiming at them.
anway, taht is why they are call communist right.
heard from the news 2 more companies are pulling out of the China market
reasons: similar to Google's
heh!
this speaks volumes

As i said again, you go into a country to do business, you have to respect their rules and regulations, same as investor coming to singapore to do business, they have to obey the rules within the Media Authority of Singapore. Just like a visitor coming to your house and mess up the show, do you still keep him/her.
Since enter china, google already know and adapted to the censorship, but why, in this particular years, it start to demand against the policy?? As i said before, there are uterior motive for google to put out, not just because of censorship issue?? American know china very well, they are still having a communist govt ruling a democratic capitalised economy. In political situation, this is called as sanction. American simply do not want China to have googles and using the base of censorship as the mean of pulling out and also to blind the public.
The American do not want Chinese to be like american, as simple as that, if China is Americanized, that is the end of America. And google provided that channel for Chinese to learn English and to learn the way the west behave and do their business. On the contrary, it can also be a plan to weaken China economy progress which is growing at double digit per years, whereas the west are at negative.
Without a google, many investor will think twice of investing there, and especially so, for American investors...Obama wants levis, timberland, and many americans firm to come back to states, do the real thing like Pepsei and coke does ya. It's the real thing

Simple, because the local subsidary is not the international company. If China takes a potshot at the international company by hacking its networks, what value does the international company have after that? No one can trust Google internationally. In fact, China already has Baidu, so it can afford to antagonize Google.

it also got Goojie in the waiting hor..the west are messing up with China, and china frustrated them by ignoring them and yet never want to re value it Reminbi currency which is very much undervalue, i go buy Reminbi to keep first, they may revalue it this years, and it can go up 5 times, if so, i rich liao...100 become 500 lor...So, be smart, dun invest in greenback or pound or euro anymore, go buy Reminbi ya...dun said Angel dun give tips
/me pulls out duct tape and wraps angel's hands together

/me pushes angel into bathtub, peeling off a live wire from the wall
I think google made a wrong move. Because China's internet still quite freedom at a reasonable levels, afterall, even US itself also practice censorship on Internet where effectively foiled some of the terrorist plans, with similar examples in South Korea as well. So I think it is just Google being stupid, and there is nothing to feel about glad......
it is an order from the white house, not within google management decision..UNDERSTAND!!

I Only understand it only reflect your stupidity on american politics and american business collectiveness....so why don't you stop commenting on issued that you lack the capacity to comprehend. FYI.....
Both US political parties will always listen to American corporate request. Political donation flows from private to public. If the state department need to issue statement that means someone from the corporate pick up the phone talked to either Hilary at the state department or the US President himself.
Only communist Govt and its supporter like "YOU" fail to understand the role of govt and its distribution of power and interest.
PS: Bare in mind not many US business leaders have direct access to the US President.

As far i am concern, Google issue is a top echelon issue, not merely a business issue, because in business perspectives, how can a businessman let go a 350 millions business in China.
On one hand, baidu, goojie and many other search engines in China are telling their govt, why give money to US of A, why let them earn, we can do it, if american can come out with google, japan can come out with toyota, we can come out with goojie and cherry and very soon...we can have our own iphone version not related to google or their join venture HTC and google phones with taiwan.
On the other hand, US of A govt think why should we let china gather information, knowledge and doing business out of google, their economy is now so good and ours are so bad, i think it is time to pull back some of these business, and google is one good IT structure to pull out so as to cripple china economy abit. We should not let the Chinese become americanised, if so, they will climb over us.
And the big bomb come when China voiced out their dissatisfaction with Dalai Lama visit to US.

Uncle Pimp, finished lunch, now here to pour out rubbish and all the food you just ate. Don't be stupid, Dalai Lama's visit to US has nothing to do with this.
Only one person with eyes on his or her head will suck up to your nuisance.
