Most of the solomon rioters are simply opportunist. I read that not only had they totally destroyed China town, they also went into the hotels with batons and Machettes and forced the occupants out of their rooms... It was a looting spree. Some had to jump from their residents to avoid the looters. WTF... they came with Machetes (PARANG) !
They seemed fail to realise that the chinese community there, are their economy pillars and investment injection. Some Chinese are already in their third generation citizens. The rioters are just shooting themselves in the foot in years to come... because poverty fuels community violence and insurgency.
They will realise that their economy and inflation woes be felt, as quick as, I would say next week. -

Confirmed, the 1RAR has been deployed instead of the 4RAR.
