  hmm.. this question seems to pop up every week. nope if the copyright owner does not permit distribution of any kind. yeap if the copyright had been abandoned by its owner or distribution permitted under limited condition. for example, sharing of project work among a closed group / non-profit use or a computer game created in the year 1995?

  Its safe to download from the net. Be it. Operating Systems, Applications, Music Albums, Movies that are running in the theatres and your favourite TV shows that are not even on Singapore TV.

  depends on who you are. even default on NS for 20 years can get fine $3000, no way they can jail illegal downloaders even for one day.
