How long it takes from polyclinic referral to apptmt in hosp

Hi all, any of you have any idea how long it takes from polyclinic referral to appointment in hospital for op? I duno what's the waiting time for polyclinic. And I duno how to ask for referral. Still have to go hospital book appointment for consultation, den book appointment for op... I'm gonna go get my tonsils removed. Any advice?? =D

the polyclinic will help u to call and make the 1st appt (usually 2 weeks to a month later)
u bring the letter from the polyclinic to the hospital
same day do the checkup
then the doc will arrange the op date for u, depending on how serious and their schedule
there might be some pre-op tests to be done
if bery serious, immed warded and op can be done next day or next next day
if not urgent then can schedule around 1 or 2 weeks later to be admitted -
does anyone know the cost in govt. hospital? for op n hospitalization doc fees blah blah.
