At around 0245 in the wee morning of 1 January 2011, I had a sudden attack of giddiness and weakness in my limbs. This occurred when I was half way through completing a part of my Chinese homework. With that, I turned behind my desk and lied on the mattress, the level of giddiness did subside when I am lying still however once I made any movement, the giddiness returns.
Understanding that these might be symptoms of hypertension and stroke, I did a little bit of research on these 2 diseases. I knew I have a high chance of developing hypertension due to my high salt intake diet and as for stroke, I suspect that I might have a mild stroke when the above incident happens. I did some test after noticing the symptoms on a website such as raising both arms up together and turning of neck etc, I did not encounter any problem with these physical test however my limb did felt weak.
As of now, 0351, 1 January 2011, I am still feeling a little bit giddy but not as bad as what had happened an hour ago. My limbs now felt stronger.
The purpose of recording this encounter was to give the GP or doctor some reference what I had gone through. And in case I became unconsciousness, hopefully this will help the doctor a little bit to understand this situation.
Also just a note, around 1 or 2 hours before the attack, I had 2 cup of coffee, with the cups added with 2 teaspoons of coffee powder [usually brewer only add 1 teaspoon of coffee powder] and also 2 teaspoons of condensed milk to each coffee. My gut feeling is that the caffeine in the coffee caused this attack however, equipped with only general knowledge of hypertension and stroke, I have no proof that the coffee was the cause of this attack. Since before examinations, I did took much more coffee that this, yet, I never experienced something like this.
When to the doc, took temperature realised that it was a fever that caused all these crazy stuff!!!!!
Too paranoid... haha
