Hi folks!
I have been having a mouth ulcer on my lower left gum for more than a month now. I have seeked help from polyclinics but the medicine that they gave are of no use. I have tried anti-biotics, oracort - E and even tried applying salt but they do not seem to work. If you guys out there have experienced the same thing or know of a solution please help to advise and stuff. Thank you so much. (:
I usually use watermelon frost to cure the ulcer in my mouth. You have to apply after brushing your teeth at night... drink some water if possible first before apply to sleep. Depends on individual, hope it works for you.
I think seeking help from gp will be no use.
How about seeking specialists?

Hmm... maybe it has something to do with your diet or lifestyle.
Sleeping a few hours everyday is not going to help much, and eating highly acidic food is going to be a bad idea too.
Wow. The cost of seeking a specialist over an ulcer is like making a mountain out of a mole when watermelon frost is more cheaper and readily available at all traditional medicine shop.

I agree with you.
On the otherhand, TS, we have no idea how big the ulcer is though, so please ignore us and seek specialist help if your ulcer is the size of a 50 cent coin or something around that.

use salt. if it doesnt heal then you probably got something more than an ulcer.
1st suggestion --- Watermelon Frost. 1 week. together with the following.
2nd suggestion --- oral hygeny - kill off bacteria in your mouth. by using mouth wash Listerine.
3rd suggestion --- Take orange or lime juicy.
4th suggestion --- look at your diet might want to considered changing some.
Maybe TCM docs can help reduce the heat and acidity of your daily diets.U can try TCM.
Find another doctor and say you are seeking a second opinion because it hasn't healed in over a month.
Check if there are more than one ulcers, and whether you have rashes appearing around your mouth, hands or feet. If so, see a doctor immediately and show him/her everything!
TCM is the best. You've got body heat if i'm not wrong. And avoid all fried stuff.
I read somewhere that if an ulcer in your mouth does not go away after a month, it's possible that you have some sort of mouth cancer.
Better check, it's not a good sign.
Taken from the link:
It is very important that you see your GP if your ulcer has lasted for more than three weeks, or is abnormal in appearance - for example, if your ulcers are made up of large red and white patches, which often bleed. This is because in a small number of cases, a severe, long-lasting mouth ulcer may be a sign of mouth cancer. You are more at risk of getting mouth cancer if you are:
If mouth cancer is spotted early on, the chances of a complete recovery are good. This is why it is always important to have regular check-ups with your dentist, as they will carry out a thorough assessment of both your teeth and mouth, and will be able to spot any possible signs of mouth cancer.
