I want to share about the way my parents have been treated by the doctors practising at the various clinics near Blk 540 Bedok North Street 3.
On 11 May 2010, my mum felt dizzy in the morning. Eventually she started vomiting for the whole day and could not get out of bed. On the very next day, my father felt that something was amiss, as my mother’s condition did not improve.
He then went to visit the various clinics in the neighbourhood to request for a house visit by the local doctors. However all the doctors did not take what my father told them seriously. To make matters worse, all of them gave him the same reason that because my mother did not visit them before for consultation, they did not had any of her records and thus did not want to treat her. Only one doctor provided my father with the number of a mobile doctor to call.
Upon arriving, the mobile doctor who examined my mother discovered that she had suffered a stroke. My father immediately called the hospital for an ambulance to bring her to Changi General Hospital. When she was admitted into the Accident and Emergency ward. It was discovered that her blood pressure had hit 230 and she was bleeding in two spots inside her brain.
Do you think:.
go complain to Singapore Medical Council if you think there is a case for you to make a complaint. there will be a disciplinary body there to mete out the punishment from being fined, suspension or license revoked.
Alright. Thank you for the advice.
Turns out its useless. I"ve just got a long winded reply from them saying I can't email them. Have to put things in writing, go down personally, give doctors exact name with speific details etc etc etc. Making things very difficult for me to lodge a complain. Maybe taking it to the papers would be more effective?
