Hey. Recently I went to a doctor for pills to delay my period for my vacation. At first she gave me some to be taken 3 times daily, till I'm back from holiday. But then just before I went to collect the medicine at the counter, she called me back into the room and offered to give me Progyluton which to be taken only once daily. I came home and googled to realise that there's no information about Progyluton being used to delay period.
Anyone here used/using this to delay period before?

Hi irenenergy,
The doctor gave you Progyluton not for the purpose of delaying period - It is used to regularize your periods. Since you had taken some pills before to delay your period while you are going on a vacation, it is only normal for the doctor to prescribe Progyluton to you to normalize your periods after your vacation.
Cheers.
maybe that doctor is giving you this drug to try out... for example if this drug is just out in the market, then doctor will usually take some for their patients to try out and ask them for their efficiency of the drug.
