Itching on scrotum and anus

since young, I have itching on my scrotum and anus. the itch is so unbearable I have to scratch.
Usually I woke up from sleep and realised that I have scratched my scrotum and anus. I am not too worried about my anus, but my scrotum got scratched that blood came out and then it become itchy as the wound began to heal. last time i took anti histamine pill when going to sleep, but I became so groggy the next day I stopped taking it. anyone also encounter same problem as me? I think there is no cure and have to live with it, LL lor. born with the problem, what do to sia.

are you as serious as mine? you got scratched until blood is out? the most itchy part is when the wound heals and is solidfy, it becomes even more itchy. its a vicious cycle.

Probably jock itch, a fungal infection.

Go to the doc for some anti-fungal cream. Should help.

I saw a specialist, he gave me some topical cream, which is burning in sensation, also no use. the problem is after the wound clears up, I would inadvertently scratch it during sleep. its a vicious cycle. unless there is a way to stop the itch from happening in the first place.

Try to keep it dry. Hope it helps to prevent relapse as fungi thrive on moisture.

ya its always dry. in fact too dry la when the wound is clearing up, makes it even more itchy. you got itch at your scrotum area? care to share your experiences?

Another possibility is high blood sugar, ask your doc to check your blood sugar.

bingo. I like to eat sugar food and drinks one, could it be the reason for my itch? high blood sugar makes you itch more?

Probably.
Cut your sugar intake or it might lead to diabetes or hypertension.

Seriously, if you're really that tempted to 'sleep-scratch till it bleeds', then I suppose it wouldn't hurt to don a pair of gloves to sleep.
And see a specialist as well.

Try "over the counter" Fungal Infections cream (Unity, Guardian pharmacies). Around $5 per tube. Rub into the skin and apply for three weeks, even after the itch is gone.

Then keep at home (the cream) and apply when the itch returns

i think you apply longer... cause fungal infections do not heal that fast... you have to be super sensitive to feel if its healing not... i do not know if this happens to you too.. fungal infections sometimes have dead skins peeling off.. just offering little advice..

Keep the area dry and try to sleep without underwear to keep it airy.
Continue to apply the topical cream.
Do you play a lot of sports or perspire often?

You could also say he got nothing better to do but to scratch his balls until blood comes out or just a case of itchy backside.Let's try to help this poor fella by suggesting all the possibilities and jock itch is a good one to start with.
TS -You should try using boxer shorts instead of briefs or something loose also check if the skin is sensitive to a particular cloth material.If this doesnt work then I will give you another one to think about in your ball scratching free time>LOL

Diabetics with out of control sugar level for a period of time would experience itching but not just the groin area but all over.So TS you iz the diabolitic ar not?

look carefully if you can see lumpy things growing on your scrotum or not. These lumps are what cause the itch. If have lumps better go see doctor. If cream does not work, must operate and remove de...

hmm i last time got this problem... but i forgot how i cure...
IF, IF only... if i not wrong is i keep washing with soap about 5 times everytime i bath or feel itchy... cuz maybe if it is some insect bite or what, the alkaline soap can neutralise acidic bites..
and does ur cockball got hair? maybe is flea? -

Even balls got hair, i dun think there is so much till will have fleas bah
