Are there anybody here who don't eat fruits?
What are the bad effects if you don't eat fruits?
Like suffer from dry skin?
fruit is a good source of vitamin c... and a few other things including antioxidants..
anyway, no biggie.. just that you end up taking supplements so might as well just eat the fruit..
Unless allergic to fruits or certain fruits.
because I got very dry skin than always have to apply lotion if not the skin will be very itchy.
So I am thinking is it because I don't eat fruits that is why it causes dry skin..
then time to start... fruit is good because of the aforementioned vit c and antioxidants.. which is supposedly very good for the skin...
drink lots of water too.. helps with the detoxification process which you will never ever get with the crap they sell as "detox products". those are crap
mostly, you see the food pyramid? follow it religiously.. you'll get better skin and be a lot healthier

The only fruit that I like is banana and I am wondering if I just eat banana alone will it help in the dry skin?
If not I have to force myself to eat other types of fruits..
with all things, variety is the spice of life..
too much banana may cause havoc with levels of potassium in your body.. which may kill you...
eat the rest of the stuff.. oranges give you vit c and calcium, grapes give you antioxidants..
give them a try.. you may end up liking what you're eating..
oh.. other things may give you bad skin too.. like too much coffee or tea.. as diuretics, they make your body lose water and that's not good...
give fruit a try.. and with all things moderation and a wide variety so that you get a wide range of all kinds of nutrients...

For dry skin, Vitamin C (absorbic acid) is good for you. Any form of citrus like orange, lime, grapefruit or lemon are good source of Vitamin C.
Banana not really too much starch and fattening if taken in large amount can lead lead to high blood glucose level that can complicate your dry skin further.

you can also vary your routine with dried fruits e.g. apricots, pears, raisins
yeah variety is the word..
try to eat vege and fruits of different colours everyday...
e.g tomato, papaya, orange, apple, banana, brocolli, brinjal, all different colours..

I seldom eat fruits, but i don't get dry skin. It might be becoz i am taking supplements.

Guess if there is sufficient vitamins and minerals in the body, one can do away with fruits.
