May be the medical doctors are slacking now. Well, wait for another person to die than they would be more "aware".
somebody must die first

there are many such cases (slacking) in the public hospitals. sigh! yet they keep increasing the medical fee, what a shame.
different doctors got different ways of treating patients. probably this doctor dunno what he is doing or he reckoned the patient will recover by himself naturally.

when u hear too much from people who encounter problems, you will be shocked.
there are all kinds of doctors lar. they are no different from you and me, just that they are medically trained doctors. u read newspaper that a male doctor videocam his colleague in shower lol.
recent newpaper report indicated that sg doctors trained at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, were not as well taught in ethics compared to their foreign counterparts. Got 2 doctors in the profession doing a survey and found out this to be true.
so NUS is going to teach the new med students ethics in their first year rather than teach than in their last years.

marc, unfortunately tho i feel sad for the NUS grads but I have to agree with the survey. Many NUS med grads think too highly of themselves. Many of those foreign doctors once time is up they go back and not wanting to come back here.

the survey of foreign counterparts unfortunately revealed this of sg trained doctors. treat the patient rather than the diesease. got a senior consultant doing his morning rounds with trainee doctors tagging along, this senior consultant just teach the trainee doctors at the patient's bed without even acknowledging the patient first.
