hey guys, i know i may sound a bit noob but if i am gonna go to hospital for normal treatment for like cough, sorethroat and stuff, which department should i go? is their outpatient department open on sunday?
y canot go clinic leh?
polyclinic nt opened on sunday, somemore i in NS nw, so see govt hospital got subsidized. so ya lo.
Isn't it always go A&E? Why not RSI? Can get att B from MO normally. RSO rarely will get status nor MC bah for cough etc unless u H1N1 la
Please get your facts right. Govt hospitals - TTSH, SGH, KKH, NUH, CCH all not catered to see patients with common flu, cough, sore throat. Because these hospitals only cater to patients seeing specialists doctors. The proper channel u need to go to is Polyclinic. You only need see general practitioner not specialist.
Since polyclinic is not open on Sunday, i suggest you go to the neighbourhood clinic.
just go A&E
i can tell u, 90% of the patients in A&E are those with cough, flu, stomach pain
how i know? 3 years ago my finger was cut by fan blade to the extent i can see my own bone, and i waited for so long before i can be consulted... Those that i saw in A&E department are those who are physically fine with cough and flu hoping to get MC only.

I heard they doing away with these. Now they entertain?
Well, they need earn more $$$ i guess. they under pressure to earn more $$$$
a&e..
with regards to entertaining those with flu/cough/stomachache first, the nurse that does the triage determines who goes to see the doctor first..
so if you are screaming in pain and plead to see the doctor, i don't see why not u are let in on the queue..

Yes, there are but public hospitals are mainly specialised doctors.
common flu and so on polyclinic is the proper channel to go to. of course there are people who get to emergency dept to see dr for common flu. This is not encouraged. Thinks few years ago there was talk on this. Emergency means it is for urgent , emergency cases.
