cervix cancer

  decided to post this here since this forum is way more active than the health forum.

  a quick question: bleeding from cervix = cervix cancer?

  my mom is experiencing this yesterday and went to see doctor and doc wrote letter to ask her to go for some tests.

  if anyone has family members / friends / relatives who have cervix cancer, pls share your comments.

  seriously only, pls.

  women must do their pap smear once every 3 years

  do pap smear also not enough

  they will admit u to kk hospital for minor surgery

  put u to sleep, cut a small pc for testing whether got cancer cells

  can discharge next day & wait for result in 2 weeks' time

  it could be anything or nothing. see what the doc says after the battery of tests.

  cant say at this point of time.

  dun have to worry or think too much.

  go for the tests first and doc will advise.

  or is it "more lenient" than other cancers (brain cancer etc) ?

  there is no sure-die or sure-no-die type of cancer
  some ppl can live till 80 with various type of cancer
  some die within a couple of years even though they are oni in 20s or 30s

  all these r false alarm, believe me that's no problem

  only very small like 5% will kenna

  thanks guys! anyway, my mom now going to hospital to stay and await doctor's advice since nobody knows what's the problem.

  aye. the thing i've learnt is to cherish your parents when you've the chance (like the thread Hello Kitty made in the chit-chat forum recently).

  but well, whatever comes my way, i'll face up to it and be strong!

  no lah, she do test already but i think results not so fast come out.

  now she's in hospital to let doctor check and see how first.

  something like staying in hospital for oberservation purposes.

  bad thing is now i need to do the housework! lol......don't even know how to wash my clothes or iron......haiz. this is very bad.
