  Hmm, is there any illness besides colon cancer that has the symptom as stated in the topic title?

  not sure myself, coz the whole toilet bowl is tainted red, which is why i'm abit worried. piles won't cause so much bleeding right?

  Piles, or haemorrhoids. I got that when I was 11.... didn't eat enough fiber.
  
  Alternatively, your faeces may simply be too hard. As a result, as they move along your intestines, they may simply scrape the walls and cause minor bleeding.
  
  See your GP immediately, who may refer you to a colorectal specialist. In the meantime, drink lots of water and eat lots of leafy vegetables.

  Erm.... that was precisely what I got when I kena piles.
  
  Sometimes the bleeding's minimal, but sometimes it never seems to stop.

  hopefully it's piles and not colon cancer, i already know 2 people who're close do me pass away coz of colon cancer.
  
  Problem is i dun drink, dun smoke either. The only bad habit i indulge in is food but i do eat my greens almost everything except eggplants. gah, this is frustrating.

  Does your stomach hurt? Or you could have stomach ulcer. If the condition persist, do consult your doctor.

  If the toilet bowl is tainted with blood after you do your business, if your faeces is covered with blood on the surface or you see blood when you wipe yourself clean...it's most likely piles or haemorrhoids. If the blood is mixed with faeces or if the faeces become narrower in diameter, then a colorectal cancer has to be considered. Early colon cancer does not giv fresh blood...you have to test for occult blood, i.e. you cannot see it. So your symptoms sound like piles...see a doctor to confirm.
