I hope someone would help me here. I am suffering from hydrocholosis, When im not doing anything i would sweat. And sometimes its quite irritating, I understand that it is very difficult to treat. I just bought an product called Driclor today.
I was actually recommended by the pharmacist, It was rumoured that aluminium in this anti-perspirant causes breast cancer? Im a guy, will i be affected? The cost of that anti perspirant is not cheap either, Its 19.30. I might use it, as this hydrocholosis problem is actually affecting my social life.
I had been swimming this few days, hoping that perhaps its obesity thats causing the problem. Im not sure, if i would have long term results. However if someone would gurantee that, It would be most certaintly helpful
So , somehow im asking right now. Are there anyone using Driclor? Because i still want to exercise, thus i do not want to completely block my sweat out. As in, Will anti-perspirant totally stop me from sweating even when im exercising? I would not want that to happen, what i want is just something to control my sweat glands and not letting my underarms sweat without any purpose. Thanks

You mean you have hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating is a common problem but varies in severity. So you have been using an aluminium-based anti-perspirant. They should have been tested by HSA for carcinogens and contaminants...so as long as you have bought them from licensed pharmacies in Singapore, they should be safe. If that still does not work, doctors can use electrical stimulation or more recently, repeated injections of botulinum toxoid. The most effective treatment is surgery, by cutting off the nerves supplying the sweat glands in the region.
So if your problem is more severe and you want something more, see your GP. Doctors will usually progress from antiperspirants to electrical stimulation and reserve surgery for the worst cases.

Cut off the nerves supplying sweat. You mean, i will never ever sweat again even if i exercise? Isn't that dangerous?

LOL, no. Some years ago TNP reported... it's only around the affected area...
