Collagen is synthesized in the body by fibroblasts and that's hwo you get a scar after a cut or surgery. You get plenty of collagen in the food but whatever you eat, it will be broken down in the gut anyway. I fail to see how taking collagen tablets will translate into collagen in the body and more importantly, where you want the cvollagen to go.
There are also different types of collagen ranging from those inthe skin to the tough fibres of tendons. I cannot see how intact of collagen can dictate how sort of collagen is produced, where it is produced and to what quanitity it is produced.
