what to expect ?
i know it's harmless etc
but will i heard electrical hums or anything ? feel anything ?
heard no food for 4 hrs beforehand ? damn it...

Backaches - therefore request for a leg cushion
Cold room - wear a sweater although they have blanket for you
Not to move - or the scans will b inaccurate. small movements like sneeze, cough, swallowing shld b minismised.
Physically you wont feel anything. but some pple do feel something, prob due to psyhcological reasons.
may i know which part of e body u scanning?
how long really depends on e reason. mine was for reasearch. was there for a 2hr...looong..typical scan shld take 45-1hr. (but then again it still varies) -
yes occasionally you will hear e machine producing strange sounds, but its alright...cos its how e machine scans.

In fact despite the strange sound (I was given earmuffs with pipe in music) I fell asleep while doing the MRI. -

Depends on which scan you are undergoing, they may inject you with a contrast medium.

yeah tat time i had earplug and headphones one..its supposed to b a plus since its so uncomfy w the head clamped up...good to have music on..but..after 2 hrs of e e headphones on, my head got a bump..cos it was clamped to tightly...Originally posted by elindra:+2
