My dad has been having dry coughs for the past few days. It pains me to see him in this condition. Anyone have any recommendations on this matter? He is in his early fifties.
it is best to consult your family GP.
Dry coughs are tricky to treat, as they are also known as e 'cold cough' or '100 day cough'. normal over e counters cough syrup would not b able to help his condition.
Doctors will prescibe a stronger medication that will suppress the cough. But it will only b helpful if your father visits the doctor and let e doc hears e cough (to check if its really a dry cough).
Any other symptomps (temperature, running nose, sore throat, fatigue) or the cough only?
