  Sir William Osler, one of only two Canadian fellows of the Royal College of Physicians in his day..also gave his name to Osler-Rendu-Weber disease and Osler-Vaquez disease (polycythaemia rubra vera).

  Kwashiorkor is not named after a person. It comes from an African word (supposed the Ga language in Ghana), meaning "the disease of the displaced child" or a 'red boy'. It is due to protein malnutrition.

  Kawasaki disease is an arteritis...an inflammatory disease affecting blood vessels in children and babies. It's not that common but can be fatal cos' it may affect the coronary arteries that supply the heart..

  You also asked about Kimura disease: it's an inflammatory condition too but presents as a soft tissue mass and enlarged lymph nodes. Under the microscope there is a proliferation of blood vessels, lymphocytes, histiocytes and eosinophils. It is a benign condition.

  Heard about this disease once. Seen it on TV. The baby died because of this.
