  Nope... okay, CLUE: think about the common shooting pain guys of mid 20s and 30s talk about... the pain comes suddenly as the bend down without bending their knees to carry a heavy object...

  There are altogether five lumbar vertebraes, L1 to L5 and is the commonest site for disk prolapse occuring at L4-L5 and L5-S1. It's nerves serve and supply most of the genital regions, the bladder and the rectum. Resection of it due to trauma will lead to complications leading to such organs being functionless as in unable to stimulate through autonomic nerves.

  Collagen is everywhere, from the hair to the muscles, not just behind the smelly region... nor is it involved that much in peeing and pooping...
