Try standing for a while or sit down on a cushioned chair and move your butt a bit, let the circulation flow... or you can walk around your house... see if the numbness subsides... I think it is more towards compression...Originally posted by mystiv:1 side only..

[b]REFERRAL TO ALFAGAL
On a side note, as doctors, for telling him about his illness, we deal it through case by case basis, and as for me, I will tell, but I will be tactful and bring this discussion to the closest family members first. Often the patients who have full insight enough will direct you on what you should do...

The School Health Services in Singapore also provide health checkups for children in primary and secondary schools. For polytechnics, I don't think they provide. For JC, I am not sure because I have never been to a JC.Originally posted by renorenal:I think nowadays, especially in Malaysia (I cannot speak for Singapore), the govt is very strict with vaccination and we would have yearly visits from the community health center's nurses in the schools.
We would be granted checks for vision, hearing, heart murmur screening and testicular descent (if detected especially at 6-7 years old, surgery is still feasible, but not at a later age, the reason that surgery is not done early is that the testes may come down on its own, but at a later age, no) before giving vaccination.

Does my sister need to take the BCG shot? Given Singapore's healthcare system, do you think she need it?
